Saltwater Fly Fishing and Light Tackle Jigging for Salmon and Rockfish throughout Clayoquot Sound
Experience an exhilarating battle with truly Wild Pacific Salmon, while enjoying the scenic and pristine landscape of world famous Clayoquot Sound. Our vessel “Power Play” is perfectly suited for fly casting or bucktailing the near-shore “Hotspots” among the islands and reefs that create prime habitat for aggressively feeding Salmon. The protected waters of Clayoquot Sound are considered one of BC’s most desirable inshore fishing areas, playing host to over thousands of transient Chinook and Coho Salmon runs each year.
Saltwater Fly Fishing trips can be combined with light tackle fishing providing plenty of action on the jig for those interested. Just let us know that you want to mix it up and we’ll be happy to provide this great combo experience for you!! The flies we use for these trips are custom tied by our guide team, and are available for purchase online and in our Fly & Tackle shop.

The most common approach to targeting salmon on the fly is to “bucktail” for them. This means trolling flies 10-20 feet behind the boat in the prop wash. To learn more about how we fish for salmon on the fly, read our “tips form our guides”
